Thodupuzha:A bicycle rally was organised under the aegis of Kaloor Maryland Public School with the message of drug free Kerala. The rally, which started on November 7 at9.45 am from Newman College, travelled through different parts of the city and concluded at the college.
റാലിയുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട എം.എൽ.എയും ഗവൺമെന്റ് ചീഫ് വിപ്പുമായ ശ്രീ. അപു ജോൺ ജോസഫ് നിർവഹിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം റാലിക്ക് ഫ്ലാഗ് ഓഫ് നൽകുകയും ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ സന്ദേശം പങ്കുവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ തൂഫാൻ വാരിയേഴ്സ് ആകാൻ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുകയും ലഹരി ഉപയോഗം എവിടെയെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടെന്നറിഞ്ഞാൽ അതിനെതിരെ പ്രതികരിക്കാൻ ധൈര്യം കാണിക്കണം എന്നും സന്ദേശത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. കുട്ടികൾ വീട്ടിൽ ഒതുങ്ങിക്കൂടി കഴിയേണ്ടവരല്ലെന്നും രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വികസന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെടണമെന്നും എംഎൽഎയും സ്കൂൾ പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൾ തോമസ്.ജെ. കാപ്പനും നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു.

എക്സൈസ് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർമാരായ ലിജോ ഉമ്മൻ, സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ ആന്റണി എന്നിവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്നു. ന്യൂമാൻ കോളേജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ശ്രീ. ജെന്നി കെ. അലക്സ്, ബർസാർ ഫാ. ബെൻസൺ എൻ. ആന്റണി, പി.ടി.എ. പ്രസിഡന്റ് ശ്രീമതി സോയ ചാൾസ് എന്നിവരും പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.പോലീസ് സേനാംഗങ്ങളും എക്സൈസ് വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും അധ്യാപകരും രക്ഷിതാക്കളും റാലിയിൽ സജീവമായി പങ്കുചേർന്നു. റാലിയുടെ സുഗമമായ നടത്തിപ്പിനും സുരക്ഷയ്ക്കുമായി പോലീസ് സേനാംഗങ്ങൾ മികച്ച ക്രമീകരണങ്ങളും സേവനങ്ങളും ഒരുക്കി. പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ സഹകരണം റാലിയുടെ വിജയത്തിന് ഏറെ സഹായകമായി.
The rally was organised with the objective of creating awareness among the public about the evils of intoxication and to keep the young generation away from intoxication.
