Preparations for Thrissur Pooram have reached the final stage. More than forty elephants will line up on the procession. The shift between Paramekkavu and Thiruvambadi Devaswom is the main attraction. Lakhs of visitors are expected to arrive. A large police contingent has been deployed for security arrangements. Special units of the fire brigade have also been set up in view of the possibility of fire.
