Last week, there was a record rush of tourists in major tourist destinations in Wayanad district. According to tourism department officials, more than a thousand tourists visit Chembra Peak, Edakkal Cave and Pookode Lake every day. There has also been a significant increase in the number of foreign tourists. The district administration is taking steps to provide more facilities to the tourists.
