Protests erupted after a delivery employee was beaten up by a customer for allegedly being five minutes late in delivering an online order. According to reports, the incident took place on the night of August 14 at a housing society in Ganga Sagar colony in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Police arrested the accused after CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media.

Dispute, then beat

The altercation quickly shifted to Kaiyankali. In the CCTV footage, Yaman can be seen seizing Amit's mobile phone and beating him and kicking him. Later, a woman thought to be Yaman's wife came out of the house and asked Amit to take her inside. Amit later complained to the police that he was beaten inside the house. He also allegedly threatened to implicate his wife in a false rape case.


Five minutes late

Amit Yadav, a Blinkit delivery employee, came to Yaman Kansal's house to deliver the order. It was around 9.30 pm. Amit says he was only five minutes late. However, Yemen has alleged that it was about 15 minutes late. Subsequently, there was an argument between the two. The customer alleged that the delivery employee spoke badly.
